The Bureau of Education and Training (BET) works in partnership with many NH institutions of higher learning to enable BET students to receive undergraduate and/or graduate credits for various BET classes and programs. Additionally, some schools provide discounts to State employees wishing to further their education.

College Credit Agreements for BET Programs

Tuition Discount

  • A 10% tuition discount for NH State government employees. In addition, application and program fees waived (with the exception of $150 graduation fee) for CPM program graduates.

9 Graduate Credits

  • 6 credits for electives
  • 3 credits for the BUSI IO Managing Organizational Behavior Course towards a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) for those who have successfully completed the New Hampshire Certified Public Manager Program (NHCPMP).

3 Graduate Credits (Only)

  • 3 credits for those who only completed the Level I of CPM PSU will provide 3 graduate elective credits towards the MBA.

SNHU agrees to accept transfer credits from courses offered by Partner that have been reviewed and recommended for college credit by SNHU (“Approved Courses”) in accordance with SNHU’s standard credit transfer policy that can be found here (“Credit for Prior Learning”).

  • 4 credits for Management (MGMT) elective
  • 4 credits for PADM 500 Introduction to Public Administration

Education Award

  • The Carsey School shall provide an education award, over the length of the program, of up to a total of $5,000 to employees of any New Hampshire city/town who have earned their CPM credential within the past five years (the "Education Award").
  • The Education Award serves as a partial tuition scholarship for the Master in Community Development, Master of Public Administration, or Master in Public Policy programs at the Carsey School.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for a Carsey School $5,000 Education Award, employees working for a New Hampshire city/town must meet the following requirements:
    • A. Be current employees of a New Hampshire city/town;
    • B. Have earned a CPM credential within the past five years;
    • C. Be enrolled in one of the Carsey School’s master’s degree programs: Master in Community Development, Master of Public Administration, or master's in public policy.
    • D. Maintain active employment with their New Hampshire city/town throughout the duration of the Education Award; and
    • E. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the duration of the Education Award.

Discounts for Continuing Education

Tuition Discount

  • FPU will offer a tuition discount to STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE employees, immediate family of employees (immediate family members to include spouse and children up to the age of 26) as set forth below.
  • Any such discount will apply only to STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE employees, immediate family of employees that are students in any online undergraduate program of study or any Master of Business Administration, Master of Education or Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Accounting program of study.
  • The Master of Physician Assistant Studies program, the Doctorate in Physical Therapy and MEPN program are specifically excluded from this agreement.

Tuition Discounted-Partnership Pricing

  • An employee or immediate family member enrolled in an eligible FPU online degree program will receive twenty percent (20%) off of his/her tuition for that catalog year's tuition rate ("Tuition Discounted- Partnership Pricing").
  • In order to receive the Tuition discounted-partnership pricing, the applicable employee/student must make Satisfactory Academic Progress to continue in the program.
  • The applicable employee must maintain an aggregate grade point average at FPU of at least 2.0 for undergraduate degrees and a 3.0 for graduate degrees to maintain discount eligibility.
  • The Tuition Discounted Partnership Pricing may not be used in conjunction with any other promotions or awards offered by FPU and has no monetary or other value other than as a credit against FPU tuition.
  • It is the sole responsibility of STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE employees and immediate family members to identify himself/herself as an employee of STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE at the time of enrollment in order to receive the Tuition Discounted Partnership Pricing.
